Bridget Christie is one of the performers playing an all-star benefit gig taking a stand against FGM. Also appearing are Sue Perkins, Athena Kugblenu, Jo Brand, Shazia Mirza, Harry Hill, Mark Thomas and Stewart Lee.
The comedians have teamed up to help raise funds to support The Dahlia Project which provides therapeutic support for women survivors of FGM (female genital mutilation). More than 137,000 women and girls in England and Wales have undergone female genital mutilation. It has devastating lifelong physical and psychological impacts and yet many vulnerable women have no access to support services.
Stand up for FGM, a Comedy Benefit Night is at Union Chapel, Compton Terrace, London N1 2UN on Monday 18th September at 7.30pm. Tickets are £25 and available here.
Bridget Christie will also be doing warm-ups this Autumn for a new show. Click here for dates for A Preview For Her.
